Richmond’s own GWAR is the most evil band in the Universe. Parents and religious leaders talk all the time about the morally bankrupt, evil musicians leading our youth straight down the pathway to hell. But it’s only at a GWAR concert, as hoses full of sticky fake blood and toxic waste spewed out into a roomful of screeching kids while the morally bankrupt, evil alien creatures on stage disemboweled a disturbingly lifelike replica of Paris Hilton, that I’ve actually thought to myself, with the certainty usually reserved for car crashes and military firefights, “you are probably going to die today.” Top that shit, Gaga.
So while it’s disorienting to see them covering “Carry On Wayward Son” by Kansas, it’s still one of the most important things that’s going to happen on the Internet this week so you should probably pay attention.
